16.10 Accumulation of Assets and Payment of Benefits
All of the Employer contributions and other monies due to the Fund are payable to the Trust Fund, pursuant to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreements and of the St. Louis Graphic Arts Joint Health and Welfare Fund Trust Agreement of August 1, 1979 as amended from time to time. The Trustees invest any reserves not currently needed for administering the Fund and paying claims and insurance premiums.

From time to time the Fund receives payments from health care or service providers which it is not administratively feasible to allocate to a specific claim or individual. Examples of such payments are performance guarantees and rebates. These payments are used to offset Fund expenses generally for the benefit of all participants.

Life Insurance benefits are insured by Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company (referred to in this Summary Plan Description as the “Insurance Company”) pursuant to a group insurance contract with the Trustees. The Insurance Company is obligated to provide the benefits which are described in detail in that contract, and which are described in summary form in PART II of this Summary Plan Description, subject to payment of premiums by the Trustees.

Open Access Medicare Prescription Solutions prescription drug benefits are insured by PacifiCare pursuant to a group insurance contract with the Trustees. The Insurance Company is obligated to provide the benefits which are described in detail in that contract, and which are described in summary form in PART VII of this Summary Plan Description, subject to payment of premiums by the Trustees.

Medicare Complete HMO benefits for Medicare Retirees are insured by United HealthCare.

EAP, Wellness, weekly disability income, dental, Open Access Medicare medical, Open Access III and Value Plan medical and prescription drug benefits are paid directly by the Fund pursuant to the terms of this Summary Plan Description.
