1.3 Eligibility Rules Are Subject To Change |

Any part of these eligibility rules, except those mandated by law (such as COBRA and FMLA), may be changed without notice to Employees or Dependents at any time that the Trustees deem it necessary or appropriate. Without intending any limitation, such changes may increase or decrease requirements for eligibility, periods of extended eligibility, period or classes of persons for which Self-Payment is permitted and all such changes may be made applicable to persons who have already become eligible or who are in the process of becoming eligible even though it changes the eligibility which they had expected to or had already acquired. Ordinarily, an effort will be made to provide notice of changes before the effective date of changes.
Example: The current unlimited Self Pay medical continuation rights of retirees may be eliminated or amended to permit continuation for only a limited time after retirement. |
