1.1.11 Limited Partial Self-Pay Rule - Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug and Wellness |

If an Employee acquires some, but less than 70, Contribution Hours for a month so that the Employee would be terminated under the rule stated in Section 1.1.7(1), the Employee will be permitted to retain coverage by paying for the number of hours needed to retain his eligibility. For example, if the required payment is $400 per month and the Employee performed work during the second preceding month for which his employer contributed $250 to the Fund on his behalf, the Employee would be required to pay $150 for that month (the difference between $400 and $250). This limited partial Self-Pay rule does not apply to establishment of coverage -- it only acts to help Participants continue coverage previously established.
Under this limited partial Self Pay rule, coverage shall be limited to Medical Benefits, Prescription Drug Benefits, Dental Benefits, the Employee Assistance Program, and the Wellness Program only and not Life benefits or Weekly Disability Income benefits.
