When will my Health & Welfare coverage become effective?
The Fund has several eligibility provisions depending on whether you are an
experienced employee or are new to the printing industry.

1) New Employee - If you have never worked in the printing industry, you must work 70 contribution hours for each of four consecutive months in order to become eligible under the Plan.

2) Experienced Employee

a) If you have worked in the printing industry within the last year and were covered under a medical plan, you may be eligible for benefits after being reported for 70 contribution hours in one calendar month.

b) If you have worked in the printing industry for at least one year and were covered under a medical plan during that year, you may be eligible for benefits after being reported for 70 contribution hours for two consecutive months or receiving 70 non-consecutive contribution hours within a three year period.
